Google And Your Pages

How Many Pages Has Google Indexed For Your Website?

You have a website. Great!  Does Google know you have one?

Let’s check.  Here is a very simple way to check if Google is, in fact, aware of your website.  Not only does this technique let you know if Google has crawled your site and added you to its search results, it also gives you a full list of how many of your pages have been indexed.

Step 1: Go to http://www.google.com

Step 2: In the search box type in the following:  site:http://yourdomain.com

That’s it.  Two steps.  Easy.

Your results should look something like this:

Notice, I highlighted in a red box the area in which Google will let you know how many pages of your website have been included in its listing. Below the page count is a full search result of every one of your pages listed.

This is a quick and simple way to check if your website is listed on Google and if so how many of your pages Google knows about.
